Highlandville is a small rural village in Pleasant Township which is in north east Winneshiek County.
The Highlandville Store has played a large role in the village's history.

Trout fishing in Bear Creek is only 600 feet from the Old Highlandville Store.
The area is surrounded by heavily wooded rolling hills.
